Curiouser and curiouser...

Also, I wonder what it says about my writing habits that my last 3 posts have all been posted between 1 and 2 am? Yikes.

Strongly--I think it says more about your work habits and sleep patterns than your writing. My vote is for you to get your work done earlier and get more sleep.

Actually, (and I'm respectfully disagreeing),it doesn't really have to do with my actual work habits...writing for me always comes easier at night. I know that it's not always best for my sleep schedule, but something about being up late at night, when it's quiet and no one is around to disturb you--when you can be completely and utterly alone with your thoughts--is what keeps me going. I started today's blog on Saturday afternoon and encountered writer's block, and after trying to start writing it for almost a half hour, I finally gave up. For me, creative stories begin with a sentence--any sentence. Something as simple as, "She slowly walked down the path until she came across the benches she used to sit on with him long ago," really gets me going. I might not even use that sentence in the story, but suddenly I'm wondering: Who is she? Who is he? What's going on with these benches? Where is she? And voila, a story is born.

So, it's not a matter of my procrastinating on writing these blogs, because I don't actually (I personally define procrastinating as knowingly not doing work, even though you have all the means with which to do it.) It's the fact my means, ie my ideas, don't come to me until the most random of times. I have, and I'll admit to it, gotten up in the middle of the night to write a sentence down before I forgot it because I wanted to write about it.

For every single blog so far, I've finished all of my other work way in advance but just not been able to write until later, only because of a lack of ideas. I guess I must be crazy or something.:/
